“Serial expat.” Isn’t that an intriguing term?
I suppose that’s what’s about to happen to us. You may have read Louise’s post about moving to Ireland after 89 days in Girona. It circumvents the Spanish visa issue, and puts us in Ireland during the heat of summer. It’s also Ireland, land of great beer and sparkling language.
It’s also our second destination, and we haven’t even left home yet – and won’t for eight more months. Does that qualify us as serial expats? Moving from one place to another, never settling on one?
Premature, perhaps. Nonetheless, I sorta like the term.
Nice segue from Italy up to Ireland. Good way to really appreciate the cultural differences . . then back down to Spain? Timbuktu? Go for it, guys!
